The Bravery

Official Website

The Bravery formed in 2003 amidst a vibrant New York music seen that had been invigorated by the success of fellow New Yorkers, The Stokes, Interpol and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

The Bravery’s mixture of post-punk, garage rock and dance music garnered radio airplay from stations in London, San Francisco and Boston. Their sold out New York shows, including a month long residency at the Lower East Side club Arlene’s Grocery, led to a record deal with Island Records.

The UK released the Unconditional EP in November of 2004. The BBC, MTV and Rolling Stone proclaimed The Bravery as the artist to watch for 2005, while The Village Voice named them as “New York’s Official Next Big Thing.” The Bravery’s first single, “An Honest Mistake” propelled the Bravery’s self titled album to debut at #5 on the UK charts and #18 in the U.S.

After numerous sold out shows around the world, touring Europe supporting U2, and a world tour with Depeche Mode, the Bravery retired to the studio with producer Brendan O’Brien (Rage Against the Machine, Neil Young) to work on their second album. The Bravery’s sophomore album “The Sun And The Moon” was released in 2007 to critical acclaim.

The Bravery received their 1st top ten US alternative hit with their first single “Time Won’t Let Me Go.” The band is currently enjoying their biggest U.S. hit to date with the #4 Alternative hit “Believe.” The band has recently released “The Sun And The Moon Complete,” a 2 disc set featuring “The Sun,” the original Brendan O’Brien produced 11 songs and “The Moon,” the same 11 songs re-worked and re-imagined by the band.

The band will be touring this summer on the Projekt Revolution tour.
